Math Kangaroo National Awards

The National Awards of Math Kangaroo (MK) recognize the top 20 students with the highest scores in each participating grade level. These rankings, ranging from 1 to 20, are determined independently for each grade level across the United States.

• Grades 1-4 Rankings:
  • Rank 1: Achieving a perfect score of 96.
  • Rank 2: Scoring 93, with one three-point question missed.
  • Rank 3: Earning 92, with one four-point question missed.

In recent years, the prevalence of students achieving identical scores has increased, leading to a greater likelihood of shared ranks. This trend is observed across grades 5-12 as well.

2024 Math Kangaroo Achievements of Think Academy Enrolled Students

Our young math enthusiasts from Think Academy US continued to excel in the top Math Kangaroo rankings. In levels 1-2, 34.5% of National Rank 1 are from Think Academy, and in levels 3-4, the percentage stands at 12.6%. Additionally, a significant number of students secured spots in the prestigious Top 20, further highlighting their strong performance on a national scale.

AMC 8 Awards

• Achievement Roll (AR): Awarded to participants in grade 6 or below who achieve scores at or above the median (15 points) among all 8th-grade participants in the AMC 8 exam.
• Honor Roll (HR): Awarded to participants who attain the top approximate 5% scores in the AMC 8 exam.
• Distinguished Honor Roll (DHR): Awarded to participants who distinguish themselves with the top approximate 1% scores in the AMC 8 exam.

AMC 10 Awards

• Achievement Roll (AR): Awarded to students in 8th or younger who score 90 points or higher on the AMC 10.

• AIME Qualifier: High-scoring AMC 10 students also earn qualification to participate in the more advanced American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME). The specific threshold depends on yearly cutoffs, which may vary based on overall performance.

• Honor Roll (HR): Given to participants scoring in the top approximate 5% in the AMC 10 exam.

• Distinguished Honor Roll (DHR): Recognizes participants scoring in the top approximate 1% in the AMC 10 exam.
