Think Academy 2024 Spring Product Launch
Think Academy commenced its USA operations in 2019, with formal enrollment commencing in 2020, and it is now entering its fourth year of operation. Think remains steadfast in its commitment to the original educational objective of nurturing children’s “life-long ability to benefit.” Our dedicated teaching team is unwavering in its pursuit of providing a well-rounded education. Whether it pertains to in-school mathematics, mathematics competitions, or other educational initiatives, our core curriculum includes “advanced knowledge,” thereby empowering children to approach exam questions with increased confidence and proficiency. Think Academy has been a steadfast companion in the growth of innumerable children, consistently sharing in the joy of their academic achievements.
In 2020, Think Academy US launched its inaugural branch in Silicon Valley, USA. And now, we have Cupertino, Belmont, Palo Alto, Fremont, Irvine and Bellevue, in total six campuses. Initially, we offered only three courses: G2, G3, and G4. However, in 2021, we introduced the “middle school system” and unveiled “online dual-teacher” courses. These offerings entail both lead teachers and VIP teachers in the classroom, ensuring comprehensive support and care for each child. The year 2022 proved to be exceptionally fruitful for Think Academy. As the AMC 8 test center, we claimed the title of the test center institution with the highest number of award-winners worldwide. In the same year, Think Academy students achieved remarkable results, including one perfect score, 11 Distinguished Honor Roll (DHR) awards, and 39 Honor Roll (HR) awards. By 2023, the number of Think Academy’s award-winning students had nearly quadrupled compared to the previous year, a testament to the efficacy of our curriculum system, dedicated teaching staff, and proprietary teaching materials and exercises. These elements have empowered children to attain prestigious awards, set ambitious goals, and experience a profound sense of accomplishment.
While our fundamental educational vision remains unaltered, the evolution of our services and course offerings represents an exciting new chapter. We extend a warm invitation to all parents and friends to partake in witnessing the most significant product upgrade Think Academy has undertaken since its inception.
This product upgrade encompasses the entire educational spectrum from PreK to high school. Moreover, students enrolled in long-term classes can enjoy these upgraded services free of charge for life. This offering not only addresses the concerns of parents seeking comprehensive after-school support for their children but also provides children with the opportunity for continuous, self-directed learning, available anytime and anywhere.
Core Upgrades
1. APP For Parents

Next, regarding Think Academy’s long-term courses, let’s talk about our features and focus.
Lower Elementary (PreK-Grade 2)
The first one to be introduced is our PreK-G2 program. At this stage, Think Academy’s primary goal is to ignite children’s curiosity, cultivate their character, and instill a profound sense of achievement. Teacher Nora emphasized the necessity of allowing young children to explore a wide array of activities to uncover their unique interests. Think Academy has meticulously crafted engaging and interactive courses that make learning a delightful and immersive experience, helping children discover and grow through various activities. Teacher Nora illustrated her point with a selection of captivating photos, all captured during various Think Academy competitions, including the Storytelling Contest and the Little Lecturer Contest, each designed to cater to diverse needs across a range of activities.
The curriculum’s progression is carefully designed, with each course offering a spectrum of challenges from the elementary to the advanced. This approach aims to boost children’s confidence in their learning journey and foster a deep-seated sense of accomplishment. Following the step-by-step learning process, even as the course becomes more demanding towards the end, children are well-prepared to tackle the challenges successfully. Teacher Nora also provided an example of the “spiral rising” system and introduced common queueing problems. Initially, she employs engaging animations to teach children how to solve queueing problems. By the time they reach the second grade, they will learn to utilize line segment diagrams to address arrangement problems. This gradual progression ensures that children become adept and confident when confronting more intricate challenges.
The remarkable results speak for themselves from various angles. In the realm of competitions, the 2023 Math Kangaroo competition, for instance, saw one-third of the awardees in the United States originating from Think Academy. When considering further education, it is evident that Think’s students consistently secure coveted positions in gifted classes within various schools. What sets Think apart is its ability to propel students forward, putting them 1-1.5 years ahead of their peers in school. The curriculum not only comprehensively covers key competition knowledge points but also instills a sense of familiarity and confidence. Whether facing an internal school exam or an external competition, children can approach these challenges with assurance, knowing that by following Think’s program, they are well-prepared, and there is no need for exam-related panic.
Think Academy Lower Elementary Trial Classes
PreK, Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2
Upper Elementary (Grade 3 – Grade 5)
Teacher June then proceeded to introduce the upper elementary grades, encompassing G3-G5. At this stage, students have two pivotal learning objectives: “Entrance Exams for Middle School” and “Math Competition Planning”. Think Academy’s curriculum system stands as an invaluable asset in helping students attain proficiency in both of these vital areas.
In the context of further education at this stage, encompassing aspects such as in-school placement tests and private school ISEE/SSAT exams, Think Academy’s School excellence system (Enhancement Level) emerges as the optimal support for children. Its curriculum propels students through their studies at a pace that is a year ahead of public schools, aligning with the learning standards of top private schools in the United States.
When it comes to competition objectives, Think Academy’s Accelerated Program (Advancement, Mastery and ACE Level) is intricately structured with a step-by-step approach. Spanning from G2 to G5, each stage comprises specific milestones, and the journey is marked by a series of challenging endeavors. Think Academy skillfully guides children toward success, commencing with G2, progressing through G3 competitions, achieving high scores in G4 competitions, and ultimately preparing them for the AMC 8 competition in the fifth grade.

Middle School (Grade 6 – Grade 8)
As the head of the middle school division, Teacher Nini emphasizes the pivotal role played by middle school as the bridge between the past and the future. It’s clear that the learning challenges faced by middle school students are markedly distinct from those encountered in elementary school.
These distinctions can be summarized from two key perspectives:
- Academic Performance: Middle school marks the stage where the advantages and disadvantages of different subjects begin to emerge.
- Study Habits: A shift occurs from parental guidance to the cultivation of self-discipline in students.
Mathematics holds a central position in the middle school curriculum, with its significance extending to two critical dimensions. Firstly, it is essential for ensuring students’ academic progress and success in mathematics competitions. Think Academy’s Advancement system is thoughtfully designed to facilitate this progress. It commences with the introduction of the exclusive “Road To Middle School” Bridge course in the spring of G5, intended to empower students to assume leadership positions as they enter junior high school. During their final year of junior high school, students engage in 4 semesters of Geo+A2 study, equipping them to excel in all science honors courses from day one of high school.
In the realm of competitions, two distinct tracks are available. First, the Honors system, which has fostered numerous competition winners, is well-suited for students with outstanding academic performance and a strong desire to participate in competitions. The central tenet of Think Academy’s training is to elevate students to a competitive level. Beginning in the sixth grade, students set their sights on significant competition milestones each year, commencing with AMC8 AR awards and progressing toward achieving AIME Qualified status.
The second track is the Olympiad training team system, tailored to students who have received extensive mathematics competition training in elementary school. These students often reach the level of AMC 8 DHR in elementary school. Even as they contend with the demands of middle school coursework, their dedication remains unwavering, as they devote 20 hours a week to prepare for math competitions. The pace of competition training in this track is notably accelerated, offering both opportunities and challenges for these dedicated students.

High School (Grade 9 – Grade 11)
The high school system encompasses various factors, such as science competitions, scientific research projects, STEM summer schools, and more. At Think Academy, three pivotal aspects hold paramount importance for high school students:
- Focused Direction: The clear definition of their path in STEM activities.
- Academic Excellence: The attainment of a GPA of 4.0 and the achievement of high SAT scores.
- Participation in Distinguished Activities: This includes earning awards in national science competitions, involvement in scientific research projects, and other notable endeavors.
Teacher Dennis unveiled a high school timetable on the monitor, underscoring the importance of securing offers from top universities by G12. With only three years in high school to prepare for college applications, each year holds critical significance. Attaining impressive results in standardized tests and competitions necessitates meticulous planning. In the 10th grade, students should concentrate on accumulating competition experience, participating in summer schools, and engaging in scientific research projects. In the 9th grade, the focus should shift toward mastering AP courses. Therefore, apart from maintaining progress in mathematics during the spring of G8, students should also identify 1-2 advantageous subjects to excel in.
At Think Academy, we offer students comprehensive resources for all competitions, standardized tests, and more through our all-encompassing STEM background enhancement program.
Think Academy’s high school curriculum system commences in the spring of G8. It introduces core knowledge points in high school physics, chemistry, and biology to help students discover their interests and enhance their scientific literacy. Upon entering the 9th grade, students can select the track that aligns best with their goals for in-depth cultivation. In G10 and G11, students can engage in competition preparation, scientific research projects, and other activities.
Before delving into the SAT Track, Teacher Dennis proudly displayed the August SAT score report on the screen. Under the Think SAT system, students achieved remarkable scores. For the August test, two students secured perfect scores of 1,600 points, while many others exceeded 1,500 points. The Think SAT system comprises three components. In the first 3-6 months, students focus on SAT knowledge modules. The SAT pre-test sprint class, held 1-3 months before the test, addresses key SAT questions. In the final 3 weeks before the test, an SAT test preparation class allows students to practice test questions, tackle challenging problems, and receive intensive teacher-led preparation. This comprehensive system caters to the individual needs of students and provides essential learning resources. Our professional teaching and research ensure that what students learn aligns closely with the test content.
