Through her excellent teaching experience, Star Wang strives to motivate her students and guide them towards academic success

Meet Star Wang, another one of Think Academy’s hard working and passionate educators! Our instructors spend countless hours creating and perfecting their course curriculums. They want to make sure that the content that is being presented to the students is of the highest quality. Today, we are going to talk about all of Star’s accomplishments as both a student and teacher. 

Educational Background 

Star attended the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, a public university with an emphasis on foreign languages located in Guangzhou, China. Guangdong University of Foreign Studies is also a top-rated university in China! While in college, Star received her Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. 

As a Think Academy Teacher

In total, Star has over eight years of teaching experience! Due to her excellent teaching record and achievements, she earned the “Top 10 Dedicated Teachers” award in Xueersi. For those who do not know, Xueersi is a Beijing-based educational training site that focuses on elementary and middle school students. In addition, Xueersi is part of TAL Education Group which is the parent company of Think Academy! 

Now as an educator for Think Academy, Star is great at motivating her students to try their best. She is also proficient at using her teaching experience to effectively guide her students towards a successful educational path. Star believes that as a teacher it is her duty to figure out the right academic needs for her students and help put them in a position to become superb problem solvers. 

While teaching, Star is always full of energy and excitement for the subject of math! She frequently encourages her students to participate during class so that they can both engage with the material and retain the information that they learn. Furthermore, students always have more fun and look forward to class when they are involved with the lesson plan! 

Classes Star Teaches

This summer, Star will be teaching the Advancement and Mastery levels of Think Academy’s grade 2 long-term course! These online long-term summer classes are geared to both help students in grades 1-8 review material from the previous grade and give them a head start on next year’s math topics. 

Summer courses for grades 1-2 consist of 10 lessons while courses for grades 3-8 consist of 15 lessons. We have sections that go from June to July, July to August, and June to August. In addition, our summer courses have both twice a week and three times a week meeting options!

1-on-1 Evaluation 

As a final note, before you register for our long-term courses. Make sure to register for Think Academy’s free 1-on-1 evaluation if you have not already! Our 1-on-1 evaluation contains an overview of our mission and academic structure, a 15-question evaluation exam, a one hour in-depth analysis, and a 15-minute teacher-to-parent discussion. After the evaluation, a customized study plan will be provided so that all of your child’s learning needs are met!
