Irene Zhan: Teaching Philosophy
Irene believes that math is a form of art and wishes to share its beauty with the children. In high school, her teacher enlightened her by opening up the door of mathematics. Now as an educator, she aims to do the same for her students.
Irene understands that the younger generations are the future of our world and hopes to use her guidance to ensure that more children can make a positive impact on society. She enjoys sparking students’ interest, confidence, and passion for problem-solving.
In addition, challenging problems become easy through her methodology and way of breaking down the question. She also provides content with clear goals and key points which helps give students a sense of achievement as they progress.
In class, Irene’s passion, interactiveness, and constant encouragement make math fun, relaxing, and transports students to the fantasy land of learning. Her outside interest in music helped her develop a creative skillset which she utilizes to deliver the most exciting lessons!
