Year-Round Summer Courses: Think Academy
An overview of Think Academy’s Year-Round Summer Courses for grades 1 through middle school
Help your child build a solid math foundation and improve their current math skills with Think Academy’s Year-Round Summer Courses!
For students in Grades 1 – Middle School
[Due to Covid-19, all of the summer classes will be held online]Why is summer a golden time to study?
As a transitional period for all children to enter the new year, summer is the best time to both review past topics and learn new concepts. During the school year, a lot of knowledge is not digested and retained. However, the summer provides parents and children with a lot of time to plan in advance.
As long as they are properly prepared, they can make up for the material they missed during the past school year. This allows students to not only absorb the original knowledge from the previous year. It also prepares them for the new content a semester in advance so that the children will be more ready for the future.
Why is Think Academy the learning center for outstanding students?
Translation for this picture:
At the 2020 AMC 8, 75% of students in the grade 5 ACE classes received awards. Among the only two grade 4 students who received a score of 24, one of them was from Think Academy. Think Academy firmly believes that good content, good teachers, and personalized teaching can help children see the most improvement.
Because of this, our Year-Round Summer Courses introduce students to seven new math abilities through our seven modules. The seven modules cover learning objectives that are taught in the United States’ national math curriculum.
Throughout the seven modules, students will also learn subjects and strategies that are reviewed in elementary school math competitions. By the end of the Year-Round Summer Course, students will have a strong understanding of mathematics and scientific thinking.
Our textbooks are revised every half semester according to educational trends to ensure that they cover the latest Math Kangaroo, Math League, AMC 8, and other competition modules as well as the latest test questions each year. For example, the new AMC 8 questions that were completed in November 2020 will appear in the summer textbook.

Different Think Academy summer course levels
Every child has a different starting level and learning speed. Think Academy firmly believes in the importance of scientific learning methods and personalized education for children. Because of this, Think Academy’s Year-Round Summer Courses are strictly divided into four levels.
- Enhancement: cultivate interest and lay a solid foundation
- Advancement: interest + competition
- Mastery: top of the competition
- ACE: preparatory class for the training team
To determine which class level is the best fit for your child’s current math skills and learning speed. We require that each child takes a free 1-on-1 evaluation before being placed in a class. Because of this, it is not recommended to deliberately pursue high-level courses. Instead, picking a class that compliments your child’s current learning level is their best option.
